My son is only 2 weeks old and I've all ready gotten mast_tis. I had it numerous times with my other son. When I got it this time the fever lasted for 5 days on the antibiotics and it's been over a week and still not everything has drained. The lactation consultant and I both agreed that for my own health it is best to wean him. But how do I do that? She told me to do it slowly and I tried to just give him 1 2oz bottle of formula a day, but I all ready feel engorged. I really don't want to get mast_tis back. Would I get it back if I just stopped cold turkey? Any advice would be helpful.
