Question: hi my daughter is 5 1/2 months old and ive br___tfed from birth she's now on solids 3 times a day and is thriving really well.im not sure what age to br___tfeed until??i know how good my milk is and has been for her as myself and partner have been ill and she has never caught anything,so her immune system is working well.We are planning another baby for next summertime as like the idea of the two close together but not sure how this will affect me nursing now?should i continue to feed?and for how long??also she really enjoys feeding 1st thing in morning, ans as a cuddle and it calms her down

Most women b___st feed up to 18mo but me personally I will pull my 51/2 mo old off when he is anywhere from 9-12mo.... It depends how is biting is!!! And most women feed up to a year! I think a year is a good age to wean..

b___stmilk should be her primary nutrition for the first year. untill baby is a year old introducing solids is all about introducing new tastes and textures. feeding foods should be in ADDITION to nursing, not instead of.

from what I have heard from experts and read on-line there is no "correct" age to stop b___st feeding. It's so healthy for the child and mother that it's encouraged to continue bascially as long as you are able to. I just read that up to 2 years old is standard many places around the world and it has many many health benefits for both mommy and baby to do so. Minimum would be a year though.
