i still have a belly even after 2 weeks. it looks like i am 4 months pregnant. how long did it take for your bellies to reduce from the swelling?

its been two weeks for me too. i also look like i am 4 months pregnant....i think that mine is now fat only...and thinking exercise willbe the only thing to help get rid of the buldge.

it takes quite a bit loger than two weeks. i had my son 2 months ago and still have a slight belly.

monica congrats on your baby. we were due around the same time - i had my daughter on the 29th. how did it go for you?

my due date was the 29th but he came on the 26th. labor and delivery was very hard, long and painful...he wa 8 lbs 4 oz...and now all he wants to do is eat. he is over 9 lbs now. how did it go for you and how is your baby girl?

sorry to hear your labour was long and painful. mine was 25 hours, a lot of hospital c___p, but it was virtually painless apart from a slight burn when she was coming out and i tore a tiny bit. after they broke my water i had a ma__sive pain and demanded an epidural. i was on pitocin for hours prior - no pain. imagine that.. on pitocin! i bet you cant wait to get some real sleep!!!!!

can you believe that my epidural never worked....they even did it twice...the doctor later told me that they are not guarentee 100%.

oh no monica! thats awful! i cant imagine what you went through.. in a way, you're lucky. because the epidural causes ma__sive water weight gain. my pictures look TERRIBLE, my legs arms and face looked bloated. i could barely walk. when i came home, my mother's jaw dropped - she asked what they did to me lol! my legs were swollen THREE times their size for about a weeks after i came home. when the swelling came down, i lost 14 lbs - no lie. now that you've been through this experience, knowing all you know about it - will you have another? we are still discussing it.. i thought i would never say yes to another lol.

My son is 3 months, I weigh less than before I got pregnant, and I still am wearing pants two sizes bigger than normal. I think it takes awhile for your body to go back to "normal". That's if it ever does. My friend is a skinny minnie (size 4) and she said she still has a belly from giving birth. She exercises like crazy too. I've never been super skinny (normally a size 12) so it doesn't bother me too much.

p.s. I do remember after 4-6 weeks I no longer looked pregnant. I think b___stfeeding helps it go down a lot but not all of it.

kathy - are you healed already? you should wait 6 weeks postpartum to start exercising., i tried walking after 4 weeks and started bleeding again. so be careful :)

I had my baby 3months ago and still look like I'm pregnant.....

I had my baby 2 months ago, but still am 45 pounds heavier than when I started! (But I've lost 35 pounds since the day I delivered...) I don't look pregnant, I look curvy with a pouchy stomache - but my ab muscles are still too weak for me to get a really good work out. (I had a c-section, and I guess that's normal.)
