Yes, it sounds like thrush. Call your doc. They will likely call in liquid nyastatin. You just take a q-tip and swab it over the mouth 4x a day. It will get worse if not treated.

milk is usually a little white film on the tongue. my son has this, try giving him a little water to see if it goes away. i remember thrush being little white spots.

Natalee always has a white tongue or at least she did (I haven't payed attention in a while). She has never had thrush.

My baby has a white tongue. I was just at the doctors with her and the ped. didn't mention anything. I just thought it was the milk.

i did mention this to my doc, i thought it was thrush, too. he said that thrush is splotchy, that it comes in spots, and its not just on the tongue, its on the roof of the mouth and the sides too. he said that what i was seeing was what are called curds, and that they are normal. freaked me out too, so i know the feeling. he said that thrush is uncommon in b___stfed babies. he said that thrush makes in irritating to swallow, too.. my guess is that it isnt thrush.

Thrush is actually a fairly common issue for b___stfeeding mamas and babies; or maybe it's just that it's harder to get rid of because it pa__ses back and forth between the mom and the baby.
