Why do you have to have a c-section?

Ok, a c-section in theory...pretty scary. While you're being prepped...still scary. Thing is, they cater to your fears. If you're really nervous while on the table, say so. They will inject you with something to make you calm and happy. Keep t hem up on anything...any nausea (they will give you meds on the table if you start feeling sick...).
Be prepared to vomit. You will be given a sour-ish drink to take prior to the c-section which neutralizes all stomach acid and makes vomiting a little less painful. The high volume of morphine you're usually given after the c-section while still in recovery makes most women sick.
The only part that is painful is the first time you get up...however, if you punch through it and make it a mission to get some walking done around the hospital - by the time you go home, the pain will be minimal.
