3rd C Section

Hi Everyone, I have had 2 C sections and I am currently 8 weeks pregnant. My 1st one was an emergency due to failure to progress. My 2nd was a scheduled and I didn't think twice about it. I am now pregnant with my 3rd and terrified to have another c section. My doctor said that this baby will have to be delivered by c-section due to the amount of scar tissue I had last time. I am really worried and terrified something will happen to me. It could be because this was an unexpected pregnancy???? What do you think? Let me know.

Why are you worried about another c-section. At least you already know what to expect with it. This will also be my third section, and I don't mind at all. I think you'll be fine. C-sections are very safe even though they are major surgery.

Thanks Chel for your rea__surance. I think with time I will feel better about it. Truth is - My doctor said that I will do great and she isn't concerned, so I should be fine. Thanks Again.... Anyone else care to comment?

Chel - During your other two c-sections did your dr. mention anything about scar tissue? How long did your surgeries take? I think the main reason I am concerned is because it took about an hour and a half for my son to be born (2nd section) and during the delivery she mentioned she was having some difficulty because of a good amount of scar tissue build up. I have not been to see my dr. But, I did talk to her, she said that she is totally comfortable doing a 3rd and I will do just fine. She doesn't have any concerns. She just noted that scar tissue is nothing for me to worry about, Just that it will take longer and that she knows she will need more time. What do you think? I wish I was as calm as you are. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that this pregnancy caught me totally off guard....Sorry for rambling....

I think you'll be fine. My first pregnancy was unexpected and had to have an emer. c-section due to failure to progress. I have had two more since then and although I cannot physically carry another child, I would do it again if I had the chance.
