4 Or More C Sections

Your dr told you will most likely rupture and possibly die and you are not being hospitalized? If they say you will most likely rupture you should be waiting it out in the hopsital not rupturing in the local supermarket. I would be finding another dr, that doesn't sound right to me.

Hi I agree with lovemy3. Im 14weeks with my 4th and as I have my babies prematurely if I have any problems at all I will be hospitalized and monitored and I more or less live next door to my hospital! I Would be seeking the advice of another Dr at the least.

I am due to have my #6 C-section in 2 weeks, I also found a woman on a message board a few years back & she only lived 35 miles from me, she has had 10 sections--11 kids (4th pregnancy was twins). She has 10 boys and 1 gorl, I have 4 boys & 1 girl with another boy on the way. Every woman is different, Scar tissue is THE ISSUE. Just ask your Gyno how it looks in there every time you have surgery and go with is advice, luckily for me, every time I asked, they said Good and gave me the Go ahead to do it again if I wanted too. And I have had 3 different Doctors. My friend has been told to stop becuase her uterus is thinning out , she has no listened but has managed somehow to keep having these babies OK. I would be afraid to do that. Another lady I know -with just ONE section was told by her Doc, ONLY one more pregnancy cause she got bad adhesions with the 1st. Docs say No more than 3, but really, every case is different as every woman handles adhesions differently.

Those other issues you mentioned are a concern with alot of sections also, I forgot to mention that in last post, I personally never had any of those problems. I plan to stop now, I was just trying to give my only daughter (she was #5) a sister, but getting another boy.

My dr says the baby is currently in breech but the bay is kicking and punching in wards and hes confident I will carry till almost term if the baby continues to do so. I did see my high risk OBGYN who is concerned about my rupturing but would rather have me on bed rest at home, I dont mind that. I will be getting another u/s at 30 weeks to check my csection scar and the position of the baby. i am currently being monitored very closely and my dr's are very pleased.

Thats great im now 19 weeks feeling ok just nervous about going early......but sounds like every pregnancy is different will just hope for the best and try to enjoy it. Having a scan in a few days. I have 3 boys and a step son a wee girl would be nice :-) Different dad so maybe. But boys are cool to. I had an appointment with my obyn today was told that maybe it was wise to make this my last pregnancy. Im ok with that though if thats my limit im lucky. OVERRUNWITHBOYS..... How many weeks will you be when you have your cesarean?I am going in at 37weeks if I make it that far.

Hi there I think i saw from a previous post that you are in NZ?? I am too and just thought i would let you know i just had my 5th c-section last week and all went great, My doc even said there was another 1 or 2 still in me which is great cause i think the more the merrier, i would go for it if i was you, yes there are some risks but with modern medicine things dont have to be bleak.

Thats really reasurring to hear everyone else I no seems to think that having a 4th c/section is a really big deal so bad that Ive actually been really beginning to dread having the surgery and I really dont want it to over shadow the reason Im really there for! How did you recover after your 4th c/section? And thanks for letting me no youre in NZ.

Jacsie - March 8

My recoveries have been great in fact i think that after my fourth it was the fastest recovery yet, this time is a little bit slower but i had a problem with the spinal block and so can get a little bit sore if i do too much but the midwife says she thinks that it is understandable as i now have 5 kids to run after and not quite as much sitting and relaxing time as wuld be recommended. I am confident that you will be absolutely great,

Hi thanks thats really encouraging to hear. It helps to hear positive experiences. 5! How old are they? I have 3 boys aged 11, 8 and 5. Have you ever had much abdominal pain from past adhesions? Good luck with your five.

Hi turean, I had 4 c-sections in 4 years to the day. I guess I am the only one with a less than satisfying outcome. After my 4th I suffered terribly painful, extremely heavy periods with huge clots coming out that required labor-like contractions to expel. I suffered for quite awhile and when I went in to the GYN she diagnosed me with adenomyosis, an abnormal uterine condition whereby the uterine lining grew into the uterine muscles. It is commonly a__sociated with uterine surgery (C/S). My bladder adhered to my uterus as well as my colon on the backside due to scar tissue formation. I ended up having a total hysterectomy and removal of my ovaries which also scarred to my uterus. I am now on estrogen daily at a relatively young age. While I love my children and due to structural abnormalities could never have had them v____ally, I have to say 4 c-sections were quite damaging to me. Sorry if this is disappointing, but my situation does occur more frequently than people know (or attribute to c-sections) and I just thought you would like to know about the flip-side to multiple c-sections. Best of luck to you, I sincerely hope down the road you do not encounter the problems I have had.

I have had five c-sections and I didnt have any problems with the C-section it self it's just the scar tissue I was left with from so many repeat c-sections Do you have alot of scar tissue from th previous c-sections?

Taurean I will be 38 weeks and 4 days I believe when I have my csection and it is more than likely a boy, as I mentioned 60-70% chance boy but he suffers from mild pyelectasis which effects more male fetus's with a ratio of 3:1. so yup another boy but im lucky I have my princess and god knows I can only handle one lol. I have 39 days till my scection and I am so very very nervous, I will be deff. getting my tubes tied after this little bundle. Do you know when your having your csection Turean?
