Bowel Movements After C Section

I'm not sure if it was the c-section or the vicodin I used the first 2 weeks after my c-section but my bowel movements are not normal yet and my c-section was 4 weeks ago. When will my bowel movements be normal again? By normal I mean the frequency (2-3 times a day) and the shape as well (sorry for the visual image). Has anyone else had this same problem?

Yes, I had problems like this after both of my C's. It took a few weeks to normalize again.

I was constipated FOREVER!
and it hurt!
and I got HEMROIDS!
YUCK!

After both of my c-sections the doc (different docs for the two pregnancies) prescribed otc stool softeners. I took them for about a month each time and the bm's seemed normal, except for the first couple days after eating hospital food.

After my first c-sec, i actually had very loose bowels (I know...tmi!!!) for a few weeks, dont' know if it was because of the c-sec (it was an emergency one due to my high blood pressure at 35 weeks so I was on pain meds plus meds for my pressure) or maybe I caught a tummy virus...just hope after this c-sec in a few weeks I don't have a repeat of that!!
