Do You Go Through Labour With A Scheduled C Section

There is a high chance that I may have to have a c-section as I am 34 weeks and 4 days and my baby is still breech and also the fluid around my baby is low so the doctors are not sure yet if they will be able to do an external version. What I would like to know is do you have to go through labour with a scheduled c-section or do they just take you stright through to surgery?

When it is a booked section, they admit you into the hospital for a certain time and you are prepped for surgery. if you have a booked section you will not do labor. On the other hand, if your section is booked and then you begin to labor I'm not sure of the procedure.

My water broke 2 weeks before my 2nd scheduled c-section. They just did the c when I got to the hospital... no need to labor. (Dawn, my first baby was breech too and the could not turn her via external version.)

When you have a c-section they perfere you dont labor first.

dawn you do not labor and if you go into labor before your scheduled day then they take you c right then!!
