Does anyone know how long it usually takes for those bandages they put on after they take out your staples to fall off? I had c-section 3 weeks tomorrow and one of the bandages fell off is that ok or do I need to put another on?

Karen--do you mean the strips that go up and down over your incision, or are you talking about a bandage that covers the entire area? When I had my staples removed, my doctor put "steri-strips" up and down my incision (about 12 of them). He removed them 1 week later. I am surprised to hear that you havea bandage at 3 weeks pp. Did you have any complications with the incision..infections, openings? Otherwise, I would think it should be ok to have them off.

Karen, it would probably be fine if you took them off. My doc took mine off at my 2 week pp apointment.

Sometimes they don't even put those strips on..they say it just seems to make the mothers feel better so you really don't need them..that's what the nurse who put mine on said..I took mine off within that same week...also most doctors do see there patients six weeks after unless there were complications..congrats on your baby
