Is it true that you heal faster with the second c-setion vs the first? and why is that?

absolutely not true...it all depends on what transpires in each individual c-section. My WORST c-section for pain, bruising, bleeding and recovery was with my 3rd, and my 4th wasn't real fun either. I ended up with lots of scar tissue after my 2nd one and it went downhill from there. Sometimes there is less pain with the second if it is planned, but like any surgery, each is a case by case situation, no two are alike even for the same woman. Good luck, however.

thanks, djh. This one is a planned, and my second. My first one went okay. I know it could have been worse. I did get an infection, but nothing too major. Thanks again

Hi Michelle, you will probably be fine, and if everything else goes the same minus labor, you might feel better a bit faster. As far as actual healing inside, it's probably about the same, but you might not be as worn out. GOOD LUCK!

Not true. I just had c #2. See my post "incision not healed"

Well..... - December 2

Not true, it depends on what just happens. It is a roll of the dice on what you get with each baby, each birth...the only thing that holds true with every birth is that something unexpected will probably happen. Not very rea__suring, I know. Hope for a better experience and be prepared for complications as c-sections ARE surgery and the possiblity is always there. I didn't have a good experience either time and against all medical advice had my third baby VBAC. I was much happier with that experience.
