Yes, and to be honest it was the beginning of a LONG struggle with post C adhesions, scar tissue and menstrual problems. I highly suggest you discuss this with your doctor and do not let them tell you it is nothing. If I can help one woman avoid the years long pains and life disruptions I will be happy. On the other hand, have you started a new exercise, did you over do some furniture moving or something? Most surgeries leave some adhesion/scar tissue around the incision and if you moved, lifted or twisted more recently that could also cause pain in your c/s area. Some women get an incisional hernia that takes awhile to show up and since they are progressive it may just now letting you know it is there. Best wishes, let us know what you find out.

after my second csection I got pain in my left side, on the scar, and after my 3rd csection it has gotten worse and I feel it acting up alot. My daughter is 18 months and sometimes the pain feels like it was just yesterday.

djh, tlew, and down... I am in the same boat as tlew however my c/s was 12 weeks ago. I have started running (I have to for miltiary) and it KILLS. My ob told me to "burn" through the pain, so what gives, my incision area is not swollen nor is it puffy... It seems to hurt right above the incision area. I don't know.

I think it is the cut nerves and the scar skin that filled in which doesnt flex and stretch or act like normal tissue. It seems to happen to me still after all these years when something hits my scar or I pull some rough jeans up over it, or a number of other day occurances. Sometimes it jsut still burn???

SEE YOUR DOCTOR!! As someone else already said, no matter how hard they try, do NOT let them brush you off. It could be nothing, but it sounds like infection to me. I am 6 months post partum and still dealing with an open, infected section that re-opened AGAIN at 5 months after being closed for 3 months. I finally ended up in the ER with an infection that had been going on for months (Ignored by my OB who kept telling me it was normal) and had finally eaten its way from inside to out. I am not by any means trying to scare you, but I got very sick and could have gotten MUCH sicker if I had not trusted my instincts. I wouldn't wish this on anyone else, so get yourself checked out. It could be nothing, and hopefully it is. Keep us updated.

Aurora, I have been wondering how you were. Did you ever get a hold of a wound care specialist?
