Because it is surgery and I feel any one who understands the risks of surgery would be frightened. I am constantly amazed at how quickly women will submit to c-sections, like they are just going to the dentist or something. I think you are just an intelligent person who has a legitimate reason to feel scared. Best wishes to you and your new babe.

it may be less about the upcoming c-section than you think. You are nearing due date and anxiety can often take over. You will do great, we wil be thinking about you.

I'm going in next Friday for my first c-section and I'm getting more nervous by the day!! I know it will be fine but all these things keep running through my mind! Best of luck to you!

I felt very nervous for my second c section. With my first, I was so excited about having my baby I just couldn't wait for her to come whatever way it was to happen. With my second, I had my first to think about. I worried then about something happening and me leaving her. I am approaching my third and having the same fears.

I just had my second c-section 7 weeks ago and I was just a nervous as my first, but everything was fine. Try not to worry, everything will be fine. Good Luck!

I had an emergency c-section with my first and didnt really have time to be scaredeverythign went so fast. B/C of this i was given the optionwith my second. Even said i could schedule it up to a week early.I thought "great I get my baby a week early" So i scheduledthe c-section. Well the closer it got the more scared i got.Especially remembering how long i was inthe hospital and how much pain i was in. I ended up telling the doctor to cancel it less than a week before I was schedued to go in. I decided i'd rather wait, she came aday early with no troubles at all. It was amuch better experience. If you have the choice of a c-section or v____aldelivery and you continue to be scared take it as a sign to try the v____al delivery. The can always to a section if they HAVE to. And if you dont have a choice the try to take comfort in the doctors believing this iswhat is best for you and your baby. And say a prayer for God to give you peace in what ever the outcome.
