I had a c-section 4 weeks ago and my husband and I tried to fool around last night (not have s_x just rub on each other) and the astroglide stung. It stung so badly that we had to stop- it even stung badly when I went to the bathroom a little while later. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Now, I'm afraid to actually try to have s_x when I get the go ahead from my doctor. Thanks.

I had s_x four days after i had my c-section it hurt but it didnt burn.maybe you have a uti.

im wrong i was in the hospital 3 days and after i got home i had s_x 4 days later.so actually it was a week after my c-section

sounds like Carrie said, since you had a catheter (nasty little germ catchers by the way) you may have been cultivating a UTI (urinary tract infection) or you may have a yeast infection from pregnancy, hormones or any antibiotics you may have had. If you labored before your c/s and had dilated at all you really shouldn't push the intimate area contact until the doctor has examined your cervix and finds it is closed tight again, the uterus is not normally "open" to as much bacteria as it is right after birth so be careful and perhaps just wait for the ok. Also, phone your doctor and explain what you did (they have heard EVERYTHING, so don't be shy) and see if they need to check for UTI. Good luck, and take it slowly sister!!!
