I had PTL with my twins and as a result, they were born at 25 weeks. I know I had a vertical cut, but the OB did not doc_ment it, so I do not know if it was low or classic (he does not know either). I assume low since Baby A was born first followed by Baby B being breech. They spent 5 months in the NICU, but are now 22 months of pure toddler lol. Well, we are pregnant again. This pregnancy has been hard. I had an lap and an appendectomy at 7 weeks. I had IC at 20 weeks and had two emergency cerclages placed, and have been on br for 14 weeks thus far. I am now 34 weeks. The original plan was to deliver at 36 by c-section again. Well, I have started showing signs of PTL, resulting in the hospital administering Terb last week at L and D to stop contractions. My OB was out of town, but his assoc was there. He did a FFN that came back negative. He said that was good enough for him to send me home with no contraction meds and wait until 36 weeks. I am still contracting. I have an anomaly where I either have 2 uteri (uterine didelphys), or one with a full septum and two cervixes and va___al septum (complete bicornuate). I have had two surgeries to diagnosis it, but no RE/surgeon has been able to pinpoint the exact anomaly. My twins were in the left uterus, and my cerclage with them ripped through resulting in their borth at 25 weeks 0 days (the c-section cut is on the left side). This baby is on the right. I know this confuses things. I just want to know what I can do. I see my OB tomorrow, and while I know the NICU all too well, I am concerned about PTL with a vertical cut. It is advised not to go into labor with a vertical cu, and with no doc_mentation of the type of vertical, I really fear rupture. Our first child was stillborn, and facing another loss is horrifying. We got exceptionally lucky that our twins are so healthy now, so bringinng this baby here safely, even if early, is a big concern.

Have you looked at your records particularly the surgery record from your previous section? I would think that in that OP note it would show how the cut was made. I had the cla__sic, my exterior incision in the low bikini cut and my interior cut is vertical. The surgeon immediately told me I could never have a normal labor because I was cut the "old fashioned way" as he put it. I was 25.1 weeks and my son pa__sed a month later. I see your concern regarding rupture and your life is in danger should that occur not only your babys. You said you are still contracting, I think you should contact your doctor's office and immediately let them know that you are afraid you had a vertical c and you want to be seen sooner. I hope all goes well and I will be thinking of you. -Lynne .
