I would like to talk to my doctor about scheduling my c-section at 38 weeks. I've had two c-sections in the past and both were scheduled at about 39 weeks. i think that is what my doctors office usually does. However, one week before my due date is New Years Eve so I would like to back it up a bit more. Does any one know if it is to soon for the baby or if this would be a logically request? When are you scheduling, (or in the past) what week did you have your c-section?

Seven days before my due date is the earliest possible I can schedule. My doctor said that if I go into labor earlier they won't stop labor, but they can't (or won't) schedule ahead of 7 days.

mine was scheduled 2 weeks in advance of my due date..but it was my 4th pregnancy and the other three my water broke almost 2 weeks early...delivered them natural. Anyways had a breach baby, delivered him about 2 weeks early, which Can...I believe is the length u can deliver as safely as possible...ummmm...they try not to take babies under 38 weeks because they like them to cook in there as long as possible, plus if they got the due date wrong as we all know they do alot, then your baby might not be "done" yet...lol SO i would talk to him and see, but dont be to disappointed if they advise u against it. GL and let us know what he says!

Well, I have my c-section scheduled. I am scheduled for 38 weeks 2 days. I was worried that I would go into labor on New years Eve and not be able to have the doctor I wanted so my doctor was awesome and he scheduled me for the 29th of Dec. It feels so far away right now!! I just thought I would let you know how it worked out.

Hi there, My doc said he'd c-section me at 32wks, because they're twins, but there has been no actual date set as yet, i think it's a wait and see thing. I personally think he's preparing me for a worst-case scenario. I'd like to have them at 34/35wks or later if things are going well.
