Anyone else experience this? I had a c-section 3 weeks ago, and recovery was going really well. Yesterday I started feeling some achiness around the incision and then the area got very itchy. So last night in bed, my belly button started to itch. I looked in the mirror and the inside of my BB was super red and a little oozy. I did make an appt for the doc this afternoon, but I wondered if anyone else has had this happen?

The red bellyb___ton is probably a skin rash...you may be sweating more than usual and you might be wearing underwear that go up over the belly b___ton all the time, keeping it from being able to "breathe"...Try putting hydrocortisone on it, and drying it a couple of times a day with a q-tip or little bit of toilet paper. A rash like that can ooze too...

Doc thought it was probably a yeast infection due to moisture trapped in the navel while it retracted back in the abdomen. So it's being treated with a cream.
