I would love to hear what women who have NOT had a baby either way think are the risks of cesarean delivery. It always amused me that they focus on a mythological difference in level of pain and damage, and the risks always seem to only be a__sociated with the operation day itself....there is so much more you DON'T KNOW and the doctors don't tell you!!!!!!

That is fine if doctors don't tell you everything, all I will say is the majority odf women when pregnant put up with the "little problems"with pregnany, but are focussed on the delivery, that is why it is based on the delivery.I have spoken to women who had horrendous births yet forget them a short time afterwards,I suppose its natures way of ensuring to go again.I did not forget my 1st natural birth,it was terrible, and the pain all hit you are once, felt distant from those around me,the pain intense, and leaving me as if I was just in a bad dream,my body taking over.I planned to have a c section, what a magnificient change,so dignified and calm, they helped you about afterwards and it was no big deal.

That's just the thing...The "little problems" of a c-section aren't so little. An incision across the underside of your stomach 8-10 inches long isn't a little problem. It hurts to move much. I was in bed for a few days after I returned home. The pain medication they gave me didn't work, and I missed my showers :o)....anyway...she had a healthy baby...I gues that's all that really matters...

You are right about that...why DO we keep going back for more??? LOL. Sometimes I think we need to heal from our traumatic experiences and I don't think when we have complications there is enough done to help us deal with it. Your v____al birth truly scarred your psyche and my c-sections and subsequent loss of my uterus scarred mine. I am not sure if I hate c-sections because of all the problems I personally had with them or if I hate them more now because I wanted to keep my female parts? Some shrink would love to a___lyze that, huh? Today I heard on talk-radio that Britney is having adjustment problems with abdominal surgery more than that she had specific complications. For once, I was actually on topic with that last statement...lol.
