i had an ultrasound done yesterday and it said my baby was 10 lbs 2. The doctors said it could be a pound off either way, but they gave me the choice for a c-section or it i wanted to be induced, and i chose the c-section....just curious if i needed to know anything in particular about the procedure...im scared and its my first baby :) THANKS

jorden, don't be scared, you'll be fine. I just had my third boy by emergency c-section on the 7th. My ultra sound said he measure 9lbs 7ozs. I went into labor the night before I was to be induced. We decided at the hospital to have a c-section, and not five minutes later his heart rate dropped and it became an emergency. I was very worried about the recovery process, but have found that it is not as bad as I fear it would be. I'm feeling really good, no pain, just some discomfort. The hardest part is having to let everyone else do the things I normally do. Who would have thought being told you can't do housework would ever bother me :) Anyway, my boy weighed in at 9lbs 5ozs so the ultra sound was right on. My second son was 8lbs 6ozs, born v____ally. I am very pleased with having a c-section, as I'm sure you will be too!! Congrats on your first!!!

hi jorden, dont be scared i had a c-section two months ago and to my surprise it wasnt bad at all (with pain med) its hard at first because you cant walk too fast and it was hard for me to get up from my bed or chair fast but everyday you feel better and better and in no time you'll be back to your old self. just make sure someone can help you with the baby because it might be hard for you to take care of it at first. congratulations and good luck!
