Hi,
I am 37 weeks pregnant and have Obstetric Cholostasis, i have my induction date for wednesday of next week and as my placenta is low lying have to be booked in for a c-section. Its not been the best of pregnancies up to now and just can't wait till this little one comes out well and healthy.
I am at the moment quite tanned (fake obviously) had a spray tan done just over a week ago and i am a little concerned as to whether i need all of it off for my section, i have tried scrubbing and scrubbing but still not budging (it is the best spray tan i have ever had) but not the best time i should have had it i know! I am just wondering whether i would be likely to get an infection if there was still a little on my skin.
Any replies would be very much appreciated!

Hi - Congrats on your little one - I have a planned c-section three weeks from Friday (My first was a c-section and it hasn't been 2 years yet for my scar to heal in time). As for your tan - when you go in for your c-section they will wash the entire area on your stomach with iodine so no matter what is on it, fake tan, or whatever, it will be gone and sanitized (your stomach is def. going to be discolored but thats the extent). I did the spray tan a few weeks ago and was really worried about b___stfeeding - I can't tell you how many times I scrub to make sure its all off so my baby doesn't swallow anything harmful while b___stfeeding when she comes out! I'm sure everything will work out fine!Congrats again!
