I do have hard lumps, but they are all along my incision. It has been over a year since my 2cd c-section.

i had a csetion may 22 and that lump you feel will get smaller but it will not go away, plus your partner want even notice the lump unless he is thinking about it, most likely he's not. i wear a gertal to hold my stomach in intell it heals.

I had a c-section on May 30 2005 and, I too have a hard lump on my left side above my incision and an even HARDER lump on my right side. I have a post-surgery appointment tomorrow and was concerned about it - the feeling there being a cyst present is not just in my mind. (?)

Wow....this is shocking to hear all of you say that. I had a c-section a year ago and never had any lump. What is this lump caused from?????

The Lump is caused from scar tissue, and how they sew you up. They really never go away they shouldn't hurt if it hurts you need to be seen by a doctor.

I had lumps around my c-section scar and was told it was scar tissue. I was told to ma__sage it everytime you get a chance and it was dissipate. I did it quite often for a few weeks and it went away. Be deligent but don't push to hard, just ma__sage the area around and around with two or three fingers for several weeks and you should see an improvement.

I've had my c section almost 5 months ago and I still have the hard lump, the doctor also said that it's inflamed and that the healing process of a c section is divided into 2: 90% where the scar heals, etc, and 10% for the rest. But it does get on the way during s_x! It really bothers for oral s_x!

By the way does anybody know when it goes away if it does?

I had a section April 30 and I had a few lumps myself. My OB said if one sticks out and feels farely large go in immediately as it could be a sign of infection. But she said that most of the lumps are caused by scar tissue and should disapate. Well it's almost July and they are really really tiny and just along the incision. I think they'll go away soon. Go to the doc if it hurts or liquid comes out near it.
