Driving After C Section-pg112893381318

I had my first emergency c-section just over three weeks ago and everything is healing well so I am just wondering how long others have waited before driving again (I'm going mad being confined to our little village in the week!). I've check with my midwife who said that as long as I feel fine, and there were no clauses in my insurance policy, it should be ok in a week or so. On the other hand my health visitor said I should wait until 6-8 weeks and have had a full check with doctor.
Any advice appreciated

I drove after about 4 weeks.

My doctor told me to wait 6 weeks and I did.

with my first I had my daughter in Sunday and was driving by Fri I didn't have a choice though she had to go to the DR because I b___stfed and I had nobody to take me but my second one I had to wait 4-6 weeks
