I know that i just had a baby and ,of course, my tummy is not going to look like it once did but here's my question. i just had my c-section 5days ago. my pregnant belly is flattening out quite nicely, but down by my incision, it looks like it bulges out around my incision. also, from the belly button, my tummy has that droopy kind of look to it. like it almost hangs. is the bulging around my incision swelling and will it go away. and is there any way to get rid of that droopy tummy look? just wondering how your bellies looked after pregnancy/c-section.

Hi there, Having your surgery only 5 days ago, the is definately swelling from trauma still there. It could take weeks, months to get back to normal. Since it was major surgery, hang in there and give your yourself time to heal, Good luck and congrats on your new baby!!

After my 1st c, my belly went totally back to normal, but it took several months. Now I am almost 9 months post partum from my 2nd c and still have the droopy belly. AAAHHHHH!

Hi, my tummy didn't start to look semi normal for about a month. A week after C-Section it looked like a deflated balloon - it's all normal and doesn't take too long to back to normal!

I am 2.5 months post partum from my first and my stomach is droopy from my belly b___ton down, From belly b___ton up its all good! lol...HOW DO YOU get rid of that?

I had a c-section in May 2005 and since then til now I have the droopy pooch. I reckon the only way to get rid of it is a lot of ab workouts, everyday, or, a tummy tuck!

I know that the swelling you are seeing is normal. From my experience, my swelling did not go away until 12 weeks after my section. My mother suggested I wear a girddle (don't laugh) but I did and it worked. It helps to keep things in place and it helps. Give it a try!

I say it's called extra skin and it requires a tummy tuck- Girdles, crunches, the whole bit is great, but if you're like me, and just got stretched too far- then all of the above won't work!LOL
