my friend went in the hospital to get the drip to induce her labor. finally when she went in labor, she pushed for two hours, but couldnt deliver her because she was to narrow for the baby to fit through. and also the baby was in distress during the pushing. my friend was taken for an emergency c- section. they released her from the hospital the next day, is that normal?

holy c___p! Are you sure they released her a day after? My friend delievered vag and the baby died. They let her go home later that night, but with visiting nurses sent to her home a few times a day for 3 days.

That is rediculous! I have had three c-sections and the minimum I stayed in was 4 days, because I ran fevers. I work in a hospital and you are suppose to let a person rest for at least 6 hours before you get them up to walk.

I was induced; after pushing for 2 hours, the baby got stuck on my pelvic bone, so I had to have a c-section. That was 6:30 p.m. At 4 a.m., the nurses *asked* me if I felt like I could get up and walk - I did. The next day, I was allowed to get up and move around as I felt able. I wasn't released for 4 days, though, because I developed pre-ecclampsia and hypertension post-partem. If not for the pre-e and hypertension, though, I would've been released 48 hours after the C-section, same as with v____al.

My daughter was breach and got stuck... actually had a little bruised ring on her bottom when she did come out via emergency c-section. I had a strange reaction to the anestetic within about a day after surgery, but was fine after that. Asked to be released after 3 days and the doctor said ok. Baby #2 is due in the beginning of February - no VBAC, told the doc I wanted a c-section.

OMG...I can't believe that they let her out after 1 day in the hospital after a c-section, thats just crazy. My advice to her would be, if she has another child to go to another hospital! you have to spend at least 4 days in hosp after c-section.
