Hi all,
well you may remember my post a week ago about how scared I was of having my section. Well on July 19th my little girl, Alexa was born. She was 8 and half pounds (taken two weeks early too) Well I had been very nervous as with my first section, an emergancy the epidural didnt take and i felt it and was put under. This time was so different. I wouldnt have been so scared if my first had gone like this. So smooth. The spinal didnt hurt much, felt a little weird. The worst was me waiting for it to hurt, but it never really did. Much worse in my head then in actuallity. Well the surgury was painfree, but I definatly felt the presure when they removed Alexa, but it didnt hurt. It was wonderful hearing her first cry, made me start crying. The rest of the surgury was uneventful. I was in recovery though for about 4 hours as the spinal took a while to wear off, definatly a weird feeling to not feel your legs. Recovery has been the difference between night and day. I walked both my kids around the block at home today and I was able to walk quicker then I was walking a couple weeks ago. It hurts a little, but no comparison to the emergancy one. Anyways for me it was a shock at the difference. I personally would always recommend a spinal, as it made such a huge difference in my experiances. Hope everyone has a healthy delivery... grace...
