i had a c-section on the 23rd dec (7wks ago) at that point i was sterilized as well, due to me beig a larger woman i was put on clexaine injections (warferin) for 6 weeks, but i still have not had a period, does anyone know when they are likely to start again or as anyone had the same problem?

Are you nursing? I imagine you might not be with the Warfarin. At any rate, first, congratulations on your new baby and second, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to have your first period after a baby. USE BIRTH CONTROL however! You will ovulate before you menstruate and unless you want another baby right away...well, you know what I am saying.

Actually, if you were sterilized you don't need birth control...I had a c-section and was sterilized and had a period 5 weeks later, but it's different for everyone, and different after every baby you have.

OOOPPPSS...I over-looked the sterilised part, heh-heh. Thanks for pointing that out, Jbear.

I wasn't sterlized but had a c-section 6 weeks ago, and I'm b___stfeeding. Does anyone know when I will get my period? I feel a bit crampy like I'm pms'ing, but not sure??

well the reason i've asked the question is that i had s_x bout 3 weeks ago, which because i thought i couldn't get pregnant after sterilization, now i'm a little worried that what happens if the sterilzation didn't work? i hope it did,..lol, i've had all the period signs, headaches , cramps the lot, just no bleeding

Your hormone levels are changing a lot after you have a baby. It's not very likely that the sterilization didn't work...your doctor probably sent a piece of each of your tubes to the lab to make sure he got the right parts...you could ask about that. Give your body a while to settle down and see if your period comes. I don't know why, since I had my baby and had my tubes tied, my period's been really irregular.
