yeah i will ask for the cathetar to be put in after the spinal block, i remember how it felt when the midwife did it when i was in labour. god knows why she did that, i wasnt even going for the c section at tht time. i remember it hurt like hell though. i think jamie had a point about the 2nd opinion, but she came across a bit agressive to oter people. no offence jamie. x

Hey Jamie, I just read your post and I wanted you to know that I realised after I wrote what I did that you may have had your own story, but what I said was by no way an attack on you! when you said "don't presume you know anything about me" it's true - I know nothing about you or your experience - you didn't elaborate, which is fine because you don't have to - but please do not get defensive with me for what I said, I was just simply trying to explain to someone why some people don't "choose" to do things but have to for the sake of their baby..! FYI, none of the comments after my previous post were me posing to be someone anonymous! I have been away and this is the first time I have been on this thread since I last posted as Bec!! Just wanted to clear that up in case you thought I was being a chicken and coming on as someone else! I'm not a mean person and I don't come on these threads to start c___p or fight - I just want to speak to women who have or are experiencing what I am..!

Bec, I didn't think you were "Blah" - I'm well aware that I have quite the little fan club on this site, and most of them are unregistered. I think my wording may have sounded more defensive than I intended it to be; I agree that any decent woman will do anything she has to to guarantee a safe and healthy child; but I know I spend a good portion of every day re-living my labor and wondering why I didn't ask for this or why I consented to that, etc. I desperately want my next delivery to be a VBAC, and I hate t when I see women say they HAVE to have a planned c-section when they may not...it's totally different to say you WANT a planned section, which is understandable...but when women say they HAVE to have one, I worry that they may not be aware of all options; and since I would want someone to make sure I knew my options, I do the same. Not all women HAVE to have c-sections, and if someone is scared, there is the possibility that she may not have to go through that. I'm not a doctor, never claimed to be. But Jen has expressed concern in her original post, and I felt it necessary to recommend that she simply ask the question of does she really have to have a second c-section? No harm or judgement intended, just a recommendation that she ask a question.

Very tired...my 4 month old decided it would be funny to get up for the day at 4:30 in the morning. lol...She's been happpy and giggling all day but I'm just exhausted! When I was pg, I had horrible morning sickness...found out that if I ate 2 or 3 saltine crackers before getting out of bed, I'd be fine most of the day. Maybe it could help you out?
