Thanks guys for responding....Im almost 31 weeks & have been seriosly been considering switching doctors b/c of some issues. I think i might just stick it out with this practice I have been using only b/c its pretty late 2 be switching. I realize that getting a CSection could have its consequences... but I just figured its worth a try if possible. I understand it is a surgery... but now a days everyone is getting them. Hopefully I will get my way & get a CSection!!!! Still not 100% sure tho....i have about 9 weeks left and its taking 4ever this time!!!

KSosa- You might want to ask your gyno about c-section scheduling. At my hospital I had to schedule my C 6 weeks in advance! Yours might be different.

I've had three and had normal pain and no complications, but some of the ladies on here have had really bad experiences with spinals and postpartum wound openings and infections, so that IS a big deal. Your doctor has probably seen this many times over! You never know what you're going to get as far as how your c-section would be or how the recovery would be. Also, c-section babies don't get all of the "junk" compressed out of their lungs and can have choking issues after birth. My oldest had that, so that's also something to consider. Really c-sections are relatively safe, but if you are the one that ends up with the horrible experience, the fact that so many people have them with no problems won't matter.

Nerdygirl, I appreciate the concern. One of the reasons that I'm contemplating homebirth is that I believe that medical intervention caused the complications that led to my c-section. I'm naturally wary of letting any doctor anywhere near me again during a pregnancy. If I have a homebirth, it will be una__sisted.

I understand your fear of the medical intervention, Jamie. But aren't you nervous about the serious consequences if something goes wrong at home? I mean, read some stuff about uterine rupture. It's rare, but certainly not something you would want to deal with at home. You and your baby could both die!

I have read about it. I feel that my risk of uterine rupture while laboring una__sisted, at home, able to follow my instinct's and my body's promptings, is safer than letting any "doctor' anywhere near me. Naturally, if I do not have a normal, healthy pregnancy, I will re-evaluate. I'm not pregnant right now, so this is all theoretical anyway.

I tried t deliver "naturally" for 4 days. I am 23 yrs old and on the 5th day I had a section. I get so angry at people that say that I took the "easy way" I was taken away from my husband into a room where they held my hands down cut me open and pulled out my daughter. I always thought that after I delivered my baby I would hold it and feel it on me. They took her and did there thing and placed her head by mine and I got to touch her cheek against mine. She was taken away and for 2 hours while I was down in a room by my self waiting for the feeling to come back in my legs my entire family was holding her and crying together and loving her without me. I carried her for nine months and everyone got to hold her. I was also frustrating that it hurts to hold your child, feed or walk afterwards. Yes it had to be done or so she could be here. But as for less complicated or less painful...I guess it's just a different kind of pain. Yes you dont feal anything while she is born, but I wouldnt trade it for what you feel like after.
