I had my second c section 11 weeks ago. A one inch area came open about 7 weeks after delivery(water build up). The doctor said clean with water/peroxide. I did not have this at all with my 1st section. It is now open about 3/4 inch. Did anyone else find that the second time around takes longer to heal? Did anyone have an incision open for longer than 11 weeks. I want to have a third eventually, but I am worried about how long it will take to heal next time.

I had a c-section and when they removed my staples my incision was open 4cm across, then 9 1/2cm to the left, 5cm to the right, and 5cm down. i had to have the nurse to my home everyday for 3wks of packing the wound which was very painful. then my husband had to learn how to pack the wound, and i am now finally healed, it took 12wks for me, good luck to you

Hi,
I am in the same situation. My incision started bleeding a week after my C Section. I went to my doctors, he said that there is acc_mumlation of clot under the scar. He opened up most of the scar and I have the nurse that comes every day to pack it. It has been 6 weeks since my C Section and most of the wound has healed up. An inch left.
