Hey, I had a c-section 5 months ago and my scare itches all the time-sometimes it itches so bad while at work that I have to go to the bathroom and scratch. Does anyone else have this problem and if so, what can i do to cure the itching???

you sound exactly like me. not sure about any remedies to take care of the itch.

My doctor told me not to scratch at the scar but rub it instead. I don't know if that takes care of the problem or not b/c mine is still new....

As I understand it the itching is actually from the scar healing. I have been rubbing mine with cocoa b___ter and it has helped.

Did you go to your doctor and ask about an infection? I could be wrong but 5 months seems too long for it still to be itchy..I don't think it would be because of it healing either after 5 months...I would rule out an infection if it were me..

. For several months after a c-section, the area around the incision is numb, but when those nerves begin to wake back up, it will cause a lot of itching as you begin to regain feeling.

Its been 5 months since mine and it has been itching a bit lately, no infections, must still be healing. I should start using cocoa b___ter.

I had my section last July and it still itches occa__sionally. Check with your doctor but I am sure its nothing to worry about unless its oozing or somethiing. Benadryl will also help with the itching.
