Hi there, I've been posting here for a little while here and have spoke about the thought of ttc#4. Over the past months a few times we have given it a try. Kinda here nor there type of tries. Well, this is the month we get down to business in the ttc'ing-lol. I am quite surprised it hadn't happened yet, and suspect possibly entering menopause at an early age of 37 or scar tissue issues. So keep me in your prayers and I'm on cycle day 12!! Thanks so much, I have enjoyed "getting to know" you guys!

Thanks guys, Amy do you know anything about short and scant, realy light only a day or so periods and v____al dryness? I'm so worried I waited to long! I bought these pee stick LH surge detectors that you use all month, so far no surge. My mom was done menopause by 40 and I'm worried. How are you feeling? October will be here before you know it!! Hope you are well, See ya.

lovemy...i would say short and scant means your not regular and v____al dryness would indicate that you are not ovulating..do you ever experience v____al discharge..it may just be that your surges are spuratic and less often then monthly you know...hell you are usually more fertile when you are going through menopause...just keep in mind it will happen when it is meant to :)

Thanks Amy, Up to about 3 months ago, all was normal. Regular flow periods, obvious ovulation signs, tons of discharge on day 17, cramping, etc. Now my periods are light, very short, no obvious ovulation signs, no cramping and extreme v____al dryness, and mood swings to boot. I know, whatever is meant to be will be will be, lol- I just want it to be meant to be my way-lol. thanks for your help!

i am thinking you might be showing signs of menopause so you will have to pay special attention to your surge periods and use them...

You said you are more fertile in menopause- we're you joking or are you? how could that be if you are?

i didnt mean to mislead you..its not that you are more fertile its that alot of women believe oh i am starting menopause and then get pregnant b/c they get so lax about it..its not that you are more fertile during menopause just more speratic ovulation and women tend to think they cant get pg...havent you heard about late in life babies! anyhow you will be fine, especially since it takes a while to get totally through menopause...you still have time!

lovemy3 i also wanted to tell you that sometimes it just takes longer to get pregnant.I know someone who got pregnant real easy with the first baby and when she started trying for #2 she did not get pregnant for 6yrs.Just keep trying and keep your chin up and never ever lose hope.

Thanks for all the encouragement!! I don't know why I'm so overly worried- see another sign of menopausal mood swings-lol Anyhow, I guess I just kick myself cause I should have gotten serious abiout this, this time last year. Anyhow, Day 14 and no sign of surge and no physical symptoms at all.

Hahaha.... i wouldn't worry about the menopause quite yet... i am 45 and due in a couple weeks... Good to use opk's as o day can vary quite a bit (i had to wait till day 17 for the surge last cycle and was glad i had the opk's). Good luck with ttc.

Hahah, thats funny. we're you getting regular periods etc still? Mine have become very short 1-2 days and so light I almost don't need a pad. I was chatting with my mom today and she said that started with her at age 37 (like me) then she had her actual last period at age 43. I think thats great your due in a couple of weeks. is this your first?

yes, still getting regular periods but did use progesterone cream for second half of cycle for quite awhile, it seems to have no effect on first cycle but does lengthen the next cycle, sort of a flow on effect. Only thing to watch is if you do get pregnant is that you have to keep using the cream for the first 12 weeks. If not pregnant your period will come, stop using the cream until after next ovulation. Good luck with the ttc, And this is no 3 for me and have c-section booked due to low placenta in about 10 days. And with the opk pee sticks, they take a bit of practice in reading, very hard to know how dark a dark line is meant to be and best to use in the afternoon.
