How long did it take you ladies to get rid of your baby fat after a c-section? do you feel like there is any different shape to your abdomen or anything from the incision? i'm 4 weeks out and i feel like i'm going to have this baby fat forever.... please tell me it goes away eventually!

My DD is a year old and I have not lost all of the weight. Mt stomach has a small "flap" over the incision. BUT it is no where near what it was 4 weeks after birth. My stomach is tighter, but still round.( it always was, lol.)I do have a little loose skin, but not too much. That is my experience but I am friends with a girl who also had a section and her daughter is 2 months older than mine. she is back to her bean pole self and has no flap and great stomach tone. I think it really is one of those things that is going to vary person to person.

I'll give you some hope. I think it just depends on the person. I gained around 28 pounds with my pregnancy. I left the hospital without having lost an ounce and at 4 weeks I still hadn't lost all that much. By the time the baby was 6 months, I had lost all of the baby weight without any special diet or exercise. I don't really notice much difference in my abdomen than before I was pregnant (of course I didn't have rock hard abs or anything before). I can wear all my old pants. Some are even too big. I do notice that my weight has shifted a little. My b___t is definitely smaller than it was before I was pregnant , but I think my hips are a little bigger based on the way the pants fit.

My c-section was 16 months ago. I was very big during my pregnancy, although I only gained 25 pounds. It was all baby and right out front and low. After my section, I had a roll of stretched skin that I had to lift so they could look at my incision. I was so upset, and for the longest time I wouldn't even let my husband see me naked. The roll has gotten smaller, but it is still there. I guess I just don't have great skin elasticity, as evidenced by the stretchmarks my belly is coated in...lol. Now that I am pregnant again, I am hoping this skin will stretch back over my pregnant belly, and not just be hanging below it. Oh well. I've resigned myself to the fact that when I am done having kids, I am going to need a tummy tuck.

my baby is now 5.5mo. I lost all of my baby weight by 4mo all 35lb without any exercise, eating whatever I want. And now I have lost some additional weight. I was normal weight before I got pg, but my stomac is much flabbier. maybe if I found some time for crunches it would be better.

Oh geez, 4 weeks only? Give yourself a break. After my first c-section, my body was pretty much back to normal within a year. Even my belly skin had snapped back with no sagging. Now I am 15 months after my 2nd c-section with 10 pounds left to lose and a very flabby tummy. I gained 60 lbs with this pregnancy, so compared to a year ago I actually look thin. However, that belly roll is still there. Ugh. After my frist c, my belly ended up being totally flat and my incision was basically invisible. I had some complications with the incision for this 2nd C, and my stomach is pretty misshapen. Losing these last 10 lbs is not going to change that for me.
