Mine was scheduled for 39 weeks but my water broke at 38 weeks so they did it then.

28 weeks is very early! Did they tell you why they want to do it then? Have you been leaking fluid or anything?

Lindi, did you mean 38 weeks instead of 28 weeks? 28 weeks is WAY to early unless there is a life or death situation. I had mine at 38 weeks due to high blood pressure.

I had mine at 38 weeks due to footling breech.

38 weeks will be fine Lindi -- and a LOT better than 28 :) Good luck to you guys. My first wasn't scheduled but this one will be. Do you really get to pick a date or is it based on when the O.R. is available?

Mine is scheduled for 36 weeks due to a displaced pelvis. My first cs was scheduled at 40 wks on my due date.

I'm scheduling at 38 weeks. I take comfort in the fact that I can schedule things around knowing what day I'll deliver. Not the rush of wondering when isn't exciting, but I guess I'm making myself feel better that I can plan out where my other two will be, etc.

Been There , so yours is an elective C -section. My baby is lying facing up, so I don't want to go through labour with her laying like that as it could cause problems and then ending up in an emergency C-section anyway.... Hope this is the right decision!!!!!!!!

My first was born via C on the day of my 40 week appointment, when they realized she was breech and did an unsuccessful attempt at external version. My 2nd was a scheduled c-section, scheduled at 39 weeks. But my water broke at 38 weeks, so they did the C that day. My docs office told me that there were reasons (legal? insurance?) that they could not schedule a C before 39 weeks unless there was a medical reason to do so.

I had my c-section at 37 weeks 5 days. I had too much fluid and thats why I weant early.

Anyone have a c-section because you already had one, with no medical reason? That is my case and mine isnt scheduled until 39 weeks and 2 days, I hope I go into labor before then!!!!

I have to have a c-section due to uterine scar tissue from a previous surgery (there is a chance for rupture along the scar tissue during labor) My doc is going to do an amnio to check for lung maturity at 36 weeks and if its positive we'll do the c-section the next day. He said he will not let me go past 37 weeks. I am 31 weeks right now, only 5 weeks to go!
