I'm 9 weeks almost 10 weeks into my pregnancy I know that puts me in the early thrid month. I'm 5'5" and have always been around 118 to 120 lbs. I had my first doctor's appt. yesterday and when they wieghed me I was the same as I have always been. Should I have gained any weight by now? It has always been kinda hard for me to gain waight because of my fast metabolism, could this be why?

Hello Gage. I was in the same boat as you until about 18 weeks. I did not gain a pound until then. Now I am 29 weeks, and 22 lbs heavier, so I wouldnt worry about it too much at this point. I was 128lbs before I was pregnant. IThe most gain I saw was from 24 weeks-28 weeks., but everyone is different. Trust your doctor!

I am 15 weeks and haven't gained any weight either. I was actually losing weight the first 2 months, I eat all the time but eat small meals and haven't been sick at all. My doctor is not concerned about me so I wouldn't be concerned yet. Your body is working really hard and using all the calories -which is good. You shouldn't gain too much weight early in the pregnancy anyway. Eating for 2 is an excuse women use to stuff their faces, you should only be increasing your calories 200 -300 calories a day which is one snack!

I'm 13 weeks and have not gained any weight yet either. I'm okay with that because I started out overweight, and my dr said we could probably make it with a 20-lb. weight gain for the entire pregnancy. I'm sure we will both gain weight later in pregnancy!
