Why would bananas be bad? I have heard that it helps leg cramps which at 30 weeks I am just starting to get.

Who told you that bananas are bad for babies and pregnant women!?!?! Well if this source of yours is speaking about shoving an entire banana down a 3 months old throat or the pregnant woman eating deep fried bananas and banana splits for breakfast, lunch and dinner (dessert is already a given!) then I suppose I can see the point. Otherwise, it's advice like this that drives me bananas!

bananas are fine to eat. how many a day do you eat, because they are worth about 90-120 calories each! You can't just eat heaps of them. I would eat one a day, or cut one in half and eat the rest later. Don't eat more than three a day! They can cause heartburn and mess with ur bowels! Try variations of fruit.
