I am 18wks preg. and no matter what I eat or don't eat for that matter I am constantly burping. Sometimes the burping makes my nausea worse and I throw up, This doesn't happen often, but when it does watch out. It's driving me nuts. I spoke with my dr and was told to just take tums/rolaids, maalox or gas x to try and make it go away. These work for a short time, but it comes right back. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Hi, I get the exact same problem, when I eat, drink even without eating or drinking. I'm around 8 weeks and feel sick as a dog though, I hope it subsides soon.

hi... I'm a burping machine! I teach music privately and my students get a big kick out of all my burps. Haven't really taken anything for it, but I do try to eat and drink slowly so that I have more small burps, rather than fewer big ones. (sorry - gross!) fyi... I had morning sickness until around week 20 - the burping wasn't an issue though, but the only thing that helped was unisom (1/2 dose at night, then down to 1/4 dose right before I was able to stop taking it.) Good luck!

Just an update I'm now 36wks and the burping has gone away, for the most part. I was dealing with a lot of heartburn which didn't help at all so my dr put me on prevacid.
