Does anyone know if you are allowed cheesecake when pregnant. It has soft cheese in it I think but a really small amount. We went to my MIL for tea last night and she had cheesecake for dessert so I had to pretend that I was too full up to eat it which is never usually the case so that she didn't guess as I am only 4 weeks.

Cheesecake is made from cream cheese which is on the list of cheese which is safe to eat when you are pregnant.

you should really stay away from it, prevention is the best cure. besides, you proberbly wont want it soon. My nausea is so bad, I cant even stand the smell of my fabric softener on my clothes, perfume, anything cooking, cars, people. I cant wait until I get better. hopefully only 4 weeks to go

All cheese sold in the US has to be pasturized. It is the law.

There are plenty of cheese sold here that are not pasteurized, particularly imported cheese. Just be sure to read the labels.
