I drink cool-aid almost everyday & night. I do not drink water at all. Is this healthy. I've been drinking cool-aid throughout my 1st trimester and i am now into my second trimester at 23 weeks pregnant. I ask this quesion because of the sugars in the cool-aid, will i have gestational diabetes or something?

Pregnant or not, it can't be good to drink kool aid all the time. Maybe you could try drinking water at least hald the time and get used to the taste of it.

i'd worry more about the artificial colors than the sugar, some are more dangerous than others such as blue #1. i have a pregnancy book that says not to eat that but its mpossible to avoid but try to find something flavored to drink that does not have artificial flavor. one lady on this forum had a great idea - a pitcher of water, squeeze a lime, a lemon and an orange into it and natural, tastes like flavored water, no added sugar or artificial sweetener. maybe give that a try

I spoke with the nurse to the doc. office today and she said cool aid is fine as long as there is not artificial sweetner. She said the sugar is ok.
