Garden Grown Fruits And Veggies

I've heard that toxoplasmosis is also a risk when gardening and that you should wear gloves when working in a garden. I was wondering what that means for fresh fruits and vegetables. We have some great strawberries coming up now but I'm afraid to eat them. Anyone know if toxoplasmosis is a risk as long as the fruits/veggies are washed really well?
