Is It Safe To Lose Alittle Weight

I am 30 weeks and weigh 159 at 5'1 and I wanted to know if it was ok to lose weight while pregnant i know it would be hard to do but is it ok?

My guess is you do not want to go on a "diet" so to say but try cutting out all junk/processed food from your diet and walk as much as possible (w/o overdoing it). You may naturally loose a couple pounds by doing that w/o it being too drastic or detrimental to your baby. I've heard that if you go on a strict diet when pregnant and loose weight too fast it can cause toxins to build up in your system, and can cause brain damage in your baby (from the ketones being released). You are close enough to the end of your pregnancy that you will be able to diet pretty soon. Just hang in there.

Your doctor should advise you on this, but everythingI've read says that's a big no-no. Cutting back on junk and eating well balanced meals and getting enough exercise are the best. going on a diet is not the answer.
