After having my last child at the age of 16 my weight balloned and i am now a size 18 (uk sizes) Which isn't obese or anything but i was planning to get in shape this year as it is seriously making me depressed but now i have disscovered i am eight weeks pregnant, Can you eat healthily and do gentle exercise and power walking whilst pregnant just to lose the weight from other parts of your body whilst keeping the baby safe and well? I can't really see the risks as long as i don't starve myself and is it possible to lose extra unwanted weight anyway whilst pregnant?

If you eat healthy foods and exercise moderately, you can hardly go wrong. I would consult your doctor or midwife to see what they recommend your caloric intake should be during pregnancy.
