I totally ate so much choclate while I was pregnant with my daughter! I just could not stop those cravings for it! And now I have the happiest baby girl ever and everyone always tells me that they have never seen such a happy baby. And she hardly ever cries. Her brother......forget it! I did not eat choclate with him so there has got be something about Choclate!

Well...right now I'm 20 weeks prego and ever since then my mom has been on my back about eating chocolate. It's because chocolate contains caffeine and I've been told over and over again it's not good for the baby. Honestly, to my opinion, a little chocolate won't hurt;)

Chocolate is fine during pregnancy in my opinion. i have read that eating it dies produce happier babies (and it makes me happier too!) I have been craving chocolate like crazy, and i didnt give in at first...which was probably more stressful than actually giving in to the craving. I worried about it having too much caffine. It doesn't really have that much caffine in it as long as you dont eat like pounds of chocolate in one. So i say eat chocolate it makes everyone happy!

If chocolate helps keep a pregnant woman happy then thats great. Best not to have to much as the mother may not be so happy after birth with the extra killos

Yeah, I read about it online doing a report about the positive effects of eating chocolate.

I just know that most types of chocolates contain caffain and that is not good for expected babies

hey everyone... im curious to know?? is it bad to get a manicure or get ur hair dyed bad during pregnancy? ppl tend to tell me, and i really dont want to believe it yet... so pls tell me??

I am a hairdresser and there is nothing wrong with getting your hair dyed. It is a myth.... if you are still worried and you want to be extra safe just get highlights because the color wont touch your scalp at all. Manicures are completely fine and would actually do you good to be pampered

I did the same as Gwen, I ate lots of chocolates during last 3 months. My baby is always happy. He is not crying right now or he is not fussy even though he is teething. I also get the question, 'he is this happy always?' Is it chocolate which did the magic? I do not know. But i went in emrgency and right after birth my son was in ICU for 5 weeks. It was terrible. I end up blaming that on chocolate. I decided not to eat any for of chocolate after he was born. He is 6 months old now and I have not eaten any chocolate since then. Not even mocha, hot chocolate....it is hard to control the chocolate, but i blame chocolate for what happened so I stopped eating.

Chocolate could mean the difference of sanity vs insanity... I believed the myth for the first 4 months of my first pregnancy and boycotted chocolate with the impression I would hurt my baby, make her slow, cause defects, etc. About the 2nd week of my 4th month - after I was put on Zoloft and perscribed to see a psychologist every other week - I took chocolate back into my own hands and got a bit-o-relief for myself. I think moderation is the key...to everything! Additionally, dark chocolate has antioxidents and no fat! I too, have a 19 month old who is happy, extremely well adjusted and is a hearing child that uses ASL and English to communicate. And has done so since the age of 11 months. So the score is...Good Chocolate has no caffine and won't make your baby hyper! AND it makes the expectant Mom relax a bit more - I recommend the Dark Dove bar!

there has been another report done recently that proved that chocalate made the baby happy as it made the woman happy
