I'm 33 weeks, gained 21 lbs. I gained most of my weight the first and early second trimester. I haven't gained any weight the past 5 dr. visits. I'm 5'8" and 140lbs pre-preg. I gained 28 lbs with my first child, 2 years ago...but I gained evenly throughout my entire pregnancy.

Whoa, scratch the 9 lbs!! I just got out of the hospital for pre-term labor and the magnesium they had me on along with the chocolate my girlfriends brought me bumped me up to 16 at 26 weeks!:)

17 weeks-no weight gain, but however right before I knew I was pregnant I went from 125 to 150 just by quiting smoking in an 8 week period. But then found out i was 4 weeks pregnant. But since my 8 weeks doctor's visit I have stayed at 150. of course still smoke free!

Honestly, it sounds like some people are proud to be 6 months into their pregnancy and only have gained a couple pounds. Girls, we're making babies here. Give yourself a break and relax with the calorie counting. If you're gaining 3 pounds at 7 months pregnant, then it's probably okay to cut your workouts down to 4 times a week and let yourself eat a sandwich with regular bread. It's really sad that as women, we put so much pressure on ourselves to be stick thin, especially during a time as special as pregnancy.

I'm FAR from proud. I'm at 33.5 weeks and gained about 4 pounds so far. Mind you, I had gallstones and underwent two seperate surgeries, was on an IV drip for most of my pregnancy and am on a low fat diet until the end...so I'm actually GRATEFUL to have not LOST any weight. The amazing this is, at my 32 weeks diagnostic u/s the baby measure on target, weight and height, so it really is a miracle what our bodies can do. Try not to focus on your weight ladies. Your bodies are designed to help the baby grow and be strong and everyone's body is so different, there's really no way to tell what's right and what's wrong. I know in my case, I was chubby to begin with and basically will end up at an average weight once I give birth, so everything worked itself out in the end, despite all of my worries and guilt! Just take care of your bodies and try to live as healthy and happy a lifestyle as possible. That's the best thing you can do for your baby!
