Hi all.. just found out i'm pregnant today and I'm realy worried I haven't been eating that well..i usually skip meals and probaly eat about 900 calories a day...if i increase my caloric intake will what i have already done be harmful to my baby?

I don't know...but I doubt it...you should probably be doubling your caloric intake to 1800 calories.

If I had to guess, I would say that you and your baby are probably fine. Of course it's best to always eat closer to 2,000 calories a day, but the baby is going to take what it needs from you so that it can grow.. If you are eating healthy now and taking prenatal vitamins I would say you are in good shape,.. you can always ask your doctor to be sure
