I am 16 weeks pregnant and I can't eat anything that is not salty. I hate fruits as well as vegetables and I am very worried for my baby. Has anyone gone through this.

Well I am 18 weeks pregnant and I am going through that right now. As a result of me not eating healthier and staying away from foods with lots of salt I am experiencing a lot of swelling at my ankles and feet. My doctor told me it is because of the salty foods and not enough walking. From my experience I think it is as much as a concern for you too. Try to stay away from foods high in salt and remember you need to think about you baby and your health.

Something for you to consider Audrey is the amount of water intake you have during the day. I was craving salty foods ALL the time, especially fries (because that's all I could think of that had a good salt taste). I called my doctor about it, because it concerned my husband and myself. We've always been a low-salt family and wanted to be able to control this so it didn't become a habit after the birth of our first. My doctor told me that it could be the amount of water I drink during the day, that sometimes my body needs the iodine content, not the salt to balance your water intake. Now I try to drink water in small amounts, lots of juice or milk, and if I crave salt, I snack on salted peanuts. The swelling of your ankles and wrists is a good point too as Melissa pointed out. Be cautious, and talk to your doctor. Good Luck!
