is it okay to drink whole milk? I switched because i thought it would be a good source of vitamin d and calcium, but i read that you should drink 1% or skim....maybe because of fat content....anyone know?

I'm told I should drink 1% or even soy milk. I guess you have to take into account that milk has lactose..which is a natural sugar and how that affects your carb/sugar intake and how it affects you. I was told the other day at my checkup that I shouldn't drink as much milk anymore..and limit myself to a cup or two at most of soy milk these days, along with watching what I eat in general so as to keep my carb/sugar intake down.

Hi! I've been told skim, 1% or 2% because you need the calcium, not the fat. You should be getting the vit D you need from veggies & pre-natal vitamins. Best of luck! -julie

it is ok to drink whole milk but 2% milk has less fat (especially saturated) and almost as much calcium...r u taking prenatal vitamins? Because that would be a better way to make up the difference
