I have gla__s of red wine every so often, a gla__s of guiness. I don't drink white wine as there is no benefit to it anyway and I don't drink hard liquor. It's all a personal choice but some people are really pa__sionate about it and look down on you for it like they are saints.

I agree with the occasional gla__s, not more than a 4 ounce gla__s per week. To those people who religously abstain: I hope you eat all natural food too if you are going to judge those of us who have some wine now and then. We eat so much processed food and artificial flavoring in our culture that it's hard to imagine that a small gla__s of red wine it's going to do anything worse.

It's funny how the North Amercians are very against any type of alcohol during pregnancy and the British and Australians outlook are more liberal with it; they don't condem if you want a gla__s of wine a day. I know lots of Brits and Aussies and I prefer their way of thinking; I have a gla__s of red wine every few days.

it's true brits and european think nothing of a gla__s of wine whilst pregnant. that said, my (british) doctor said even small amounts are to be avoided. i guess you have to do as you see fit.

Another lame post made by jujubee, can't stand this lady! She was on another post awhile back and basically had nothing nice to say at all. I wish she would just leave her rude comments to herself.

Sara, are you kidding us here? Red wine vinigrette?
I bought some of the convienient 4 packs of pony bottles of wine. This way you don't have to waste a bottle. One bottle is 185 ml, and they say 100 ml is serving of wine. So I just split it with my husband. I plan to have that about once a week and that is all. I start drinking it with dinner and finish it after dinner, sipping REALLY slow to let in linger.
My sis in law did EVERYTHING right and her baby has problem with his lower jaw being recessed.
(Not feeding well, may have speech problems). So anything can happen.

I think it is ok to have the occasional small gla__s of wine when pregnant. At the end of the day though it is your choice. By the way this post will prob get some really nasty comments from the pregnancy police who think they know everything about being pregnant!

My sister had the occasional gla__s of wine and the occasional beer, ahe also smoked a pack of smokes a week. Her son was a week LATE, 8 pounds and very healthy. He is a very smart child and is ahead of all of the children his age.
My theory is a mother knows what is going to hurt her child. If you are scared dont do it, if you are going to drink do it in moderation and just know that there is always a possibility.
I give you credit for asking a question that most people would be too nervous to ask. Be strong and hopefully you have a wonderful, healthy baby! Good Luck

I am from Italy (Florence) and my mom had a gla__s of wine when she was pg with me... I live in the States now I don't really enjoy wine but if you do it in moderation it should not harm the baby...
