Im about 21 weeks and i too have the same soreness. its like dull cramping in the lower abdomen area. Also, the backache is pretty annoying as well. I especially feel bad when i have been standing or walking for too long. Just the other day i was thinking how i would be at 9 months if i am only half way there and feeling this way already. We have seen the baby via ultrasound and everything looks fine so the doctor just calls it growing pains. Are you drinking a lot of water? Sometimes the aches can increase if you are dehydrated. Hope you find some relief!

Yea, I heard to drink water, as much as I hate it, I've been basically drowning myself :) Nobody ever told me how uncomfortable pregnancy can be!! My baby looked fine on the ultrasound too, but its nice to know Im not alone with the soreness!! do you know what you're having yet??

Yes, me too! I'm almost 34 weeks and all of my abdomenal muscles hurt. It hurts to walk or sit or sleep. Just plain uncomfortable. And you're right - I've never heard anyone mention anything about the aches and pains of pregnancy before. I knew that it would be uncomfortable but I never knew that pain was part of this!

I am there w/ you all in regards to the aches and back pain. I swear I am already having some Braxton Hicks contractions when my uterus feels hard and "lumpy". It pa__ses after a few seconds, but is a tightening feeling i don't like. I didn't start those until I was in my 20th or so week w/ my DD. Also, my back (around my bra area) is so tight and achy. I think it must be b/c I'm a teacher and am either standing, walking, or at an ill-positioned computer throughout the day. Good to know I'm not alone, I guess misery does love company, huh.

I had the round ligament pains from like 24 weeks until about 36 wks they suck so bad! I know how you feel,I too have alot of trouble sleeping at night and my boyfriend hates sleeping with me because i move so much. I can never get comfortable and I always hurt so much when I move! I'm almost done now but for me it has just gotten worse the farther I have gone! But believe you will make it the whole nine months it doesn't seem like it but you will...Just try to focus on other things rather then the pain and what not...Find your comfy place and stay there it helps and walking (sucks while you are doing it but helps your body alot after!!! even though you may be sore it really gets you ready!)

I am 28 weeks now and I feel like my whole abdomen is killing me as well as the ligaments. It feels like appendicitis? After I eat my stomach gets really tight and the skin feels like its going to rip apart. Anyone else feels like this? also does anyone else know what to do about constipation?>

I am 24 weeks and I have an awful pain just below my rib cage on the right side which gets worse when I am sitting for a long time, especially in the car. I've had lots of people tell me all sorts of reasons for it, but who knows. I'm hoping it goes away but it hasn't yet. A nurse told me it's most likely due to the way the baby is laying--so not much I can do about it but grin & bear it.

Hello ladies! I hear you about the aches and pains. I'm 30 weeks and things definitely start complaining! :) Some things that I've found helpful with relieving the stress on the muscles is: checking my posture, doing pelvic tilts, aerobic exercises that focus in on working your abdominals and being careful to not twist or turn sharply. Do pelvic tilts by spreading your legs a little more than shoulder width apart, squatting down (knees should not go past your toes) and rocking your pelvis back and forth. You really look ridiculous doing this so make sure your dh is hiding in the other room. :) It does help a lot though. Also, doing some pregnancy appropriate aerobics has been a major blessing to me. Strengthening your abdominal muscles really relieves the stress pregnancy puts on your back and round ligaments. Oh yah, getting hubby to give nice back rubs is a must too!! lol As funny as it sounds, enjoy (as much as you can) your pregnancy. It sure goes by quick! Lisa, try drinking more water and walking around when you can. That helps me get things moving. Good luck with that- constipation is m-i-s-e-r-a-b-l-e!!
