Its been a week since fighting this cold and everyone has told me to take Robitussin or Tylenol. My doctor told me that it is safe and since I'm already 33 weeks pregnant it wouldn't in any way affect the baby.

No, don't take airborne with your prenatal vitamin. It can lead to an overdose of vitamin A. That's what my OB said. Before I got pregnant I took airborne whenever I felt a cold coming on, and it always worked. Now, my due date is 4 days away and I have the worst cold of my life. My nose is so congested I can't breathe. I feel your pain kayalex24! Maybe try taking Benadryl and just sleeping it off.

Be careful with colds. I started out with a simple cold and took some Tylenol Cold (per doctor's recommendation) and it seemed to help for the first day. Two days later, however, i was in the clinic with severe bronchitis & borderline pneumonia. They had to put me on a nebulizer and prescribe a lot of things. Don't wait too long -- see a regular doctor other than your OB if the OB seems to be suggesting tylenol/sudafed/robatussin and your symptoms are not clearing!

I am now finally getting over it and in my first trimester. I just rode it out, you can try sucking on cough drops for the sore throat and tylonol for the headache. Thats all I did.
