I'm 20 weeks and had been having pain under my right br___t, that kept getting my persistent. I asked my dr. and they said it might be gallbladder issues and to check with my primary dr. I knew it wasn't gallbladder since mine was removed a few years ago. So, he did some blood and urine work and said it was a kidney infection. I am on cipro now for a week to hopefully get rid of it. Drinking lots of cranberry juice too. I didn't even catch it if it was a UTI before, because I thought the frequent urination (seriously, every 10 min) was normal for pregnancy and even when I'd only go a few drops at a time. Has anyone else suffered from this? Did you get recurrent ones or have to be hospitalized? There's not too much information on the web on this.

hi fifijeep,
I am currently 31 wks, but had a bladder infection at 11 wks. I, too, was placed on cipro and it cleared up right away. Knock on wood that I haven't had another one as there is a 40% chance of a second reoccurence before your delivery. My recommendations is to keep on the cranberry juice, wear cotton underwear, do not take baths with scented/perfumed soaps, and to 'blot' dry after urination.
Hope this helps.

I'm 16 wks pg and have my 3rd bladder infection. I do have a bladder disorder so apparently I'm more susceptible to getting an infection. I now have to take macrobid daily to help prevent more infections. I sure hope it helps. Before I was pg I was hospitalized for a UTI that turned into a kidney infection, that was really bad.
